Sponsor WBSBC
We are always looking to work in partnership with Sponsors, whatever the size of your budget. There are many different ways you can support us – from sponsoring an individual event, to a training camp, to being the overall club sponsor – and more! Get in touch to discuss options
Benefits for sponsors:
Benefit from the positive association with rowing as a sport, and contributing to the health, wellbeing and success of future generations – whether it’s on the water or in the classroom you are investing in their futures too.
Benefit from the positive association with one of the most successful junior rowing clubs in the UK, with a growing international profile too. Your investment will contribute directly to the development of exceptional athletes. Since 2000, WBSBC rowers have represented Great Britain at junior level, including at the World Championships. They have won the prestigious Fawley Challenge Cup at Henley Royal Regatta on numerous occasions and most recently won their event at the Head of the Charles, USA in October last year.
Gain local, regional, national and international exposure through physical advertisements (e.g. on trailers/vehicles; on kit); and through social media tags
Opportunity to join our vibrant WBSBC community membership. There will be a chance to purchase tickets for key Boatclub events (e.g. the annual dinner, Henley Royal Regatta WBSBC enclosure)
Options for sponsorship
Here are just some of the ways you can work in partnership with us – but please contact us if you have any questions or other ideas. We are also looking for an overall club sponsor – please enquire if you would like this to be your company!
All sponsors will be named and have clickable logos in our club newsletter (approx. 5-6 editions a year), and on our website for the academic year in which they are a sponsor. In addition, there will be three social media posts spread throughout the year specifically focused on thanking our sponsors and linking to their companies, as well as social media tags specific to events/training camps if these are sponsored. Other benefits specific to different sponsorship opportunities are listed below:
Kit sponsorship for major races. Henley Royal Regatta: £5,000/ Head of the Charles (USA): £5,000 pays for all-in-one and other associated kit for all entered athletes at Henley Royal Regatta (up to 20 rowers), Head of Charles (up to 20 rowers). You get your logo on our kit, tagged in all publicity for the specific event
Training Camp Sponsorship for international training camps: October and April camps £40-75K (partial sponsorship also welcome, POA). Includes flights, accommodation and food for all athletes, 25-40 athletes per camp). Sponsors get logo on training camp tops, tagged in all publicity for the training camps.
Sponsor a boat: from £12K to £40K (partial sponsorship also welcome, POA). Full sponsorship can name the boat for lifetime and includes corporate sponsorship logo on the boat for the current academic year, and invitation to a launch event.
Gym Sponsorship: £8,000/year to sponsor the equipment (ergs and weights) in the gym. Sponsorship will be acknowledged and thanked on a sign on the outside wall of the gym.
Advertise on our van: Van £5,000 or trailer £2,000/year: Our vehicles travel many thousands of miles within the UK and internationally. Have your logo displayed in a prominent position for the academic year.
Sponsor a marquee: £7,500 for lifetime of marquee. Our Marquees are renowned at all the regional and national regattas and will be seen by many thousands of spectators throughout the year. Sponsors get a new marquee printed with your logo included to be used for years to come.
Sponsor a Coach (POA). Sponsoring a coach will enhance our provision by increasing the numbers of boys able to row/numbers of sessions. Sponsors get tagged in social media posts where the coach has participated in events at least 3 times in the year, and targeted social media posts to thank specifically for their appointment.
Sponsor full time admin support: Enquire for more details. A full-time administrator would be life-changing for WBSBC, as it would free up enormous amounts of the Director of Rowing, Mark Wilkinson's time to coach rather than complete administrative tasks. You’d be investing directly in the future of WBSBC! Sponsors get targeted social media posts to thank specifically for their appointment, acknowledgement/thanks in email banner used by any Boatclub emails and acknowledged/thanked on our sponsorship page on the website.
